I’ll say like water for chocolate
Love that film!
Definitely “Chocolat.” You can practically smell that wonderful hot chocolate as she makes it in the pot on the stove. Rich, thick and almost erotic. You chocolate lovers out there know what I mean.
Speaking of erotic, Tampopo is insane. Best food/sex film. Here’s a clip:

Hey, you forgot to list “Big Night” and “Ratatouille”, two films that delight in food! Even so, I think Eat Drink Man Woman reflected a lot of Chinese culture with food and therefore is my favorite on the list. But a close runner up for Ratatouille. Food looks great even animated!
Loved Ratatouille! There are so many I didn’t mention: My Dinner with Andre, Diner, Eating Raoul, Sweeney Todd. (Lots of flicks about cannibalism. How odd!)
I cast my vote for Babette’s Feast. — a favorite at our house.
We also like Tortilla Soup. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0255653/
Wow, Ang Lee, and I haven’t seen it. Will have to check it out.
Ratatouille is a great animated flick, but it’s about a rat who cooks. Sorry, didn’t whet my appetite.
Like Water for Chocolate for Me. That evil mom? was it…scared the heck out of me.
