After blogging about the pot gelato at The Farmacy, I was surprised to find vegan chocolate-hemp gelato on the menu at Culver City’s new eco-friendly hot spot, Akasha days later. Could there be a weed gelato trend in the works? Unlike its cannabis cousin, the hemp in Akasha’s gelato won’t get you high, but at least this treat is tasty. The masala spiced wild shrimp salad wasn’t half bad, either. But it’s the rice-flour onion rings that are like crack. I’m afraid they might become a habit.
